You know, until I got interested in firefighting, I didn't think school was all that worth it. That's partly why I got my GED, so I could just be done with it. But it was House rules that you had to go to some kind of higher education for job placement. So I figured I'd tough it out until I aged out, but I ended up liking my internship, so in the end, it worked out the way they intended.
